Tidefest owes a debt of gratitude to a few key values that have guided the show for years.

Community has been the driving force and shining light behind the show, uniting us together. An appreciation for handmade crafts has brought our focus to the local merchants and hard workers in your neighborhoods. And our love for the holiday season has driven us to strive for a wonderful experience for everyone involved!

Tidefest has been run through and by the students of Gig Harbor Highschool since the beginning in 1980. Since then it has evolved to be its own entity in the fine art and crafts world, providing a unique experience for artists and shoppers alike, with a rich history. The festival acts as not only a fundraising opportunity for the school but for student clubs as well. In addition, it offers the students an opportunity to learn leadership and showcase their hard work and unique skills as they assist and orchestrate electrical, setup, audio, and performances for the festival.

In addition, the involvement and efforts by the students bring a unique feel to the show unlike any other. The students bring a liveliness and excitement to the show, all the while maintaining a helpful presence by assisting artists in setup and take-down, and providing help and refreshments during the show.

All told, Tidefest is a wonderful balance of small community friendliness, with the quality expected of much larger shows. Join us this year at Tidefest!
